Just what is a KnockerBall ?
A KnockerBall is a single chamber inflatable sphere with inner handles and adjustable shoulder straps. Knockerballs range from 1.2 Meters to 1.5 Meters and the size or fit is predicated on your height. Knockerballs can be used singularly to perfect your rolls, flips, and wheels or can be used with two or more to enter a realm of rip roaring, knocking fun times. People who use KnockerBall are sometimes referred to as Knocker Ballers and they describe the sensation as almost defying gravity. This sport is so new and we are proud to be instrumental in introducing one of the coolest products to come along in a long time to the U.S.A. Till now, KnockerBall or bubble soccer has been gaining traction in Europe, Australia, Japan, and elsewhere. Leagues are opening up all over the United States so isn't it time you GET IN THE BALL and see what you've been missing?
Where can we play KnockerBall?
You play at your location! You can choose the playing field but it has to meet a few requirements. This ensures your safety and that the Knockerballs don't POP! It's not difficult to find a good place to host your Knockerball party. Here are some places that are perfect for Knockerball: Indoor courts (basketball, gymnasium, etc), outdoor football or soccer field and even large grassy areas that are free of sticks and rocks. The size of the location needed depends on how many balls you would like to have.
For your safety we do not permit use on hard surfaces such as concrete or asphalt. If you're unsure, just give us a call.
What should I wear or bring?
It is recommended that players have plenty of water, running shoes (no cleats), contacts or sports glasses (no glass/glasses), cotton shirts that cover their shoulders, & gloves for their hands/knuckles. If you are playing inside on a basketball court, you can bring your own knee pads if you have them (not required).
Do we provide permits for use at State or City and County Parks?
No, it is up to the individuals renting to obtain a permit from the Parks Department if they are needed. We can help you find a location, just give us a call.
Is KnockerBall safe?
Our Knockerballs are just as safe as they are fun. The inflated ball does a great job at absorbing the energy so you're well-protected. Men and women of different sizes play against each other without any issues. Please note, each participant must sign the Liability Release Form prior to playing KnockerBall.
What height do I need to be to use KnockerBall?
To really be able to use the KnockerBall we recommend at least 40" because the balls do weigh 14-17 lbs. But to just get inside of a ball and roll around we have had many young children have a blast. Anyone over 5'3" will have more fun with the larger balls.
How old do I have to be to use KnockerBall?
There is no age requirement per say, it is more of a height and strength limit because it may be difficult to play Knocker Soccer and carry the ball on your shoulders (14- 17 lbs.) but people of all ages can at least get inside the balls and just roll around. Players under 5'3" should use the medium (1.3m) ball, while players over 5'4" are fine with the regular size (1.5m) ball. Anyone under the age of 18 years old must have a parent/guardian sign a minor release waiver on site.
Are we Licensed and Insured?
Absolutely. KnockerBall Tampa Bay LLC is registered with the State of Florida and has a $3 million aggregate Insurance Policy in place which can add our Corporate Customers as additionally Insured on, so HR departments can breathe a sigh of relief when employees are knocking each other around.
Do we own KnockerBalls?
No, we are an independent, local company, KnockerBallÃÂ® Tampa Bay. KnockerBall is the Trademark name of the ball we employ in our business.
